GeraClinic / Data / CQC care providers

CQC-Registered Health & Care Providers (England)

A directory snapshot of every Care Quality Commission (CQC)-registered health and care provider location in England — GPs, dentists, clinics, hospitals, care homes and community services — grouped by local authority and locality. CQC publishes a categorical rating scheme (Outstanding / Good / Requires improvement / Inadequate), never a 0–5 numeric score, so this dataset carries provider records and honest counts only — no derived numeric ratings.

This dataset summary is available as machine-readable JSON — including provenance, columns, key figures and a sample of rows — for use by researchers, journalists and AI assistants.

Methodology

Provider locations were crawled from the public Care Quality Commission register and de-duplicated by CQC location ID. Each record retains its CQC location ID, registered name, provider name and contact details where published. Counts are exact record counts — no sampling, weighting or estimation — and no AggregateRating is emitted because CQC ratings are categorical, not numeric.

Sample rows

A verbatim sample from the verified snapshot. Full data is in the JSON summary and on the source page.
