What this directory is
A free, county-by-county index of every CQC-registered care home in our dataset. We cross-reference each home's operator against Companies House so you can see at a glance whether the company running it is still active. We never show a star or 0–5 rating — CQC inspects against a categorical scheme (Outstanding, Good, Requires improvement, Inadequate), so always read a home's own report at cqc.org.uk.
