Quick answer
This directory covers 5,411 CQC-registered locations across 9 English regions and 27 distinct service types. The CQC rates each location Outstanding, Good, Requires improvement or Inadequate — it does not use a star or 0–5 score, so this directory shows no numeric rating. Always check a specific provider's own CQC report at cqc.org.uk.

Methodology
Figures are computed from real Care Quality Commission records. Each region's headline total counts every registered location once (distinct). The per-region service-type breakdown counts a location under each service type it holds, so those category rows overlap and are never summed into the regional total. Every number is an exact count of registered locations; CQC publishes a categorical inspection scheme (Outstanding / Good / Requires improvement / Inadequate), never a 0–5 numeric scale, so we show no average and no AggregateRating.
