Uganda has a population of over 45 million people and a rapidly growing urban middle class. Access to healthcare outside Kampala is severely limited β with a doctor-to-patient ratio of roughly 1:25,000 in rural areas. Long travel times and costs prevent millions from accessing basic medical care. GeraClinic addresses this directly, bringing licensed doctors to any Ugandan with a smartphone.
Consultations are conducted in English and Luganda. Payments are accepted via M-Pesa, MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money, and local cards β removing the barrier of needing a bank account.
